So what's your issue exactly?

Is it the microphone or is it Chrome?

Also, allow Chrome for what exactly?

You can set Chrome to be the default Browser for Meet in the Meet's Settings, by tapping on the three lines icon in the search bar, and then on Settings and then on Default Apps. Tap on Chrome to set it as Meet's default browser app, otherwise it will use the System's default browser whatever it's set to.

For the microphone, you can go to the iPad's Settings App ➜ Privacy & Security ➜ Microphone and make sure the switch for Meet is turned on.

If Meet does not appear there, you may need open and use it once to get it to request permission.
