How to turn off underlining and blue highlighting by Voice Control

There appears to be a new feature in Tahoe in which the following happens when I use Voice Control:

• As I dictate, the content that is being added by voice control gets an underline until it is done processing.
• In the TextEdit app, the text also gets a pale blue shadow background while Voice Control is typing.
• In the TextEdit app, if voice control is listening but I am actively typing, the character that I am typing gets a pale blue shadow background.

I find these changes distracting and I would like to turn them off. Is there any way for me to do so?
