My ipad won't connect to itunes
I'm trying to reset it as the screen is flashing between blank and apple logo. I have tried to force restart but that hasn't worked

Ensure that you have updated to the most recent supported version of iTunes. For a Windows 10 or Windows 11 PC, you will need to install the more recent Apple Devices App from the Microsoft App Store:

Update to the latest version of iTunes – Apple Support

If necessary, try using a different USB port; if your computer has both USB-C and USB Type-A ports, you may have more success using the USB Type-A port of the computer.

iTunes can still do these recoveries. You do not need Apple Devices. In fact it would be better to not use Apple Music/TV/Devices given the lack of features in those newer programs.
