iPhone 13 Pro's Safari keeps reopening over 7000 group tabs

I have an iPhone 13 Pro running iOS 18.6. For some reason I found I have over 7000 group tabs open in my safari all with the same name. This causes my safari to be really slow when browsing. There’s no close all group tabs option so i had close all of them one after the other but when i close and reopen safari they are all back. I have closed all of them manually severally yet they keep coming back. It takes me over 4hrs each time to close them all, it’s really frustrating. I have turned off iCloud sync, cleared all website and cache data done everything I have seen online yet they keep coming back. @Apple please why isn’t there a complete reset safari button. I just finished another 4hrs manual clearing session this morning just so I can use my safari and just 5 mins later when I come back to safari they are all back again. Please how do I PERMANENTLY close them all once and for all. I don’t care what I will have to delete, reset or lose I just need them gone!!!! Please anyone

also I have been able to sort out the issue with the Tab groups. I cleared my iCloud storage and started deleting them again and they stopped coming back.

Excerpt:

Tip: To close all tabs in this Tab Group at the same time, touch and hold (the blue checkmark icon), then tap Close All [number of] Tabs.

Thanks, I now understand you are asking about Tab Groups and that you have a great many of them. Is that correct? If so that explains the reason you spent hours methodically swiping each one left to discard them, only to have them all return as though you did nothing. Whatever the opposite of productivity might be, that's it.

And, if that is the case, I intend to ask the site hosts to move your question to the iPhone Community. You may need to reset the iPhone but don't do that just yet — there are more qualified experts over there.

Even if you could delete thousands of Tab Groups at once, the fact they keep reappearing means it wouldn't help anyway.

The only other similar case I can find on this site concerned macOS Safari and the solution won't help.
