Apple Watch Series 5 stuck in setup loop after unpairing and reset

I recently fixed my Apple Watch as it had water damage to the screen and a crack. I had it on, the first day it was fixed, didn’t have it paired or the app on my phone but it counted my steps and I had received a text message through it.

the following day, my partner gave me his newer iPhone 13 he got fixed. I had the iPhone 11.

I found the watch was on my Apple ID list so I removed it so I could try pairing it to the new phone and reset the whole watch. (Why I did this idk?)

which has created this problem for me:

when trying to pair it to new phone (and have tried the older one too)

it now gets stuck with just the Apple logo on the screen for 30mins.

when it comes good, it then has the page select language. I select English. It then says I can pair phone. I go to pair it. It wants me to update software. I’ve tried doing it and not doing it.

Then it says unpairing iPhone. (It’s not paired to anything!)

Then it lets me go to the screen to pair the phone.

It fails every time. Can’t connect.

Then it gets stuck on the apple screen saying case aluminium 44mm etc in a circle around its when I click that it says continue set up on iPhone.

one iPhone has the newest update the older one doesn’t.

I have tried holding the two buttons on the side. I have tried resetting it. It stalls and gets stuck on the apple logo for 30 mins.

I’ve even tried putting it in the freezer based off some reviews on a YouTube video. Does anyone have any other tips before I give up?

I have it booked in to Apple but I also don’t want to spend anymore money, I’d be better off buying a new one at this point.
