Website doesn't work due to WebGL issue

I have a 2024 Mac Mini, with macOS 26.0.1. When I use Safari to go to www.blackhillsenergy.com, then click on the Log In button, I am presented with an entirely blank page. Opening the Web Inspector, I see an error "ReferenceError: Can't find variable: WebGLRenderingContext"

The page works fine in Firefox on my Mini. It works fine in Safari on my iPhone, iPad, and my daughter's MacBook.

There's clearly something wrong with Safari on my Mini.

Any suggestions as to things to try to fix this?

Try clearing Safari's history and / or saved website data:

  • You might not have to clear all history. In most cases clearing only the past hour is sufficient.

For what it's worth that website loads ok on the Mac I happen to be using at the moment. I realize that doesn't help you. WebGLRenderingContext is a commonly used graphical API so the message in itself is not very helpful. All it means in your case is that the page can't even begin to load.

For an overly broad reference with a few helpful suggestions: If Safari doesn't open a page or work as expected on Mac - Apple Support. Don't arbitrarily dismiss them. Some are more useful that others.
