What is Apple ID and why am I get asked for it prom Priceline just to get a receipt for my stay

An Apple ID or Apple Account is the combination email and password you use with Apple services and platforms such as the App Store.
If you have an Apple device, like an iPhone, iPad or Mac, your Apple ID is the account you use to access services like iTunes, the App Store, Apple TV, etc...
Why Priceline is asking for it is unknown. Did you maybe download their app from the App Store? Then it may be asking for that Apple Account as it would haver your reservation tied to it and they probably use it to find it.
Beyond that, without any more details it's hard to say why they may asking for it.
