Apple Music stops after playing 2 songs from my library 2025

I've noticed this behavior as well. It seems to be connected to two things:

1. starting the song by double-clicking with the mouse OR starting the song by hitting "ENTER" on the keyboard cause different behavior. Using the mouse allows me to switch between previous and next tracks. Using the keyboard doesn't. Then the music stops after one song.
2. The sorting method of the playlist matters. Sorting it by "Album Artist" (Ascending) works pretty reliably. For some reason other sorting methods ("Album by Artist/Year"...) don't work and cause random playback.

This is definitely caused by the new system update and has nothing to do with safe mode or anything else, Apple Music needs to be rolled back to a previous working version or fixed. This is just embarrassing for the developer team.

I might suggest you Start up your Mac in safe mode and see if it makes any difference.
