Short battery life on new MacBook Pro

I have purchased 14 inch m4 pro Mackbook pro on 29th of September. I have only use it for 3 days till now and after a full charge it hardly last about 5 hours where I was just consuming multimedia and downloading some softwares. I have checked everything in regards with the battery but find no issue as such. I have purchased it from chroma store. What should I do right now ? I have also attached my etrecheck report as well

BobTheFisherman is being too kind. The thing in your system named CleanMyMac is MALWARE:

Unsigned Files:

Launchd: /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac5.Agent.plist

Executable: /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac5.Agent

Details: Gatekeeper bypass

CleanMyMac does not have a good reputation here, and is often referred to as "BrickMyMac". We never suggest you leave it installed, and sometimes recommend you re-install MacOS because of the damage it may already have done.

But the developer of CleanMyMac DID have a valid developer certificate (so their older Apps WERE signed), and did not Bypass GateKeeper Security. I don't know what that item with CleanMyMac in its name is, but it does not appear to be legitimate, and even if it were legitimate, we would recommend you remove it.

Also the installed components are not labeled as from MacPaw, the developer of CleanMyMac. They are from MacPaw Way ltd, a different developer.

Actually the problem is I have been facing the battery life issue even before that, I have installed all these applications only yesterday. I want to ask that if I charge my battery to 100% and leave it for another 2 hours and then drain it out then again charge it back does it solve my battery life issue ?

Plug in the computer and forget about it. Leave it plugged in. The MacOS manages the power/charging systems very well. No need for you to try to micromanage the systems. Uninstalling the third party apps already mentioned is far more important than you worrying about the battery right now.

You have launch agents for Teams and OneDrive loaded. These items will scan all your files, and all the files on your oneDrive account on the internet NON-STOP.

That is what is contributing to the high internet use your report shows.

Also, you have Parallels installed and active. That creates another entire Virtual Machine inside your machine, and the load of another Operating System on top of that.

You have used ALL your real RAM and have driven your Mac Into a 1 MB Swap deficit, simulated on disk. Your Mac will start to get slow, and simulating real RAM on disk uses much more battery.

If you want long battery life, those items should NOT be running at all times.

DO NOT run your battery down low in the name of calibrating. Apple no longer recommends that because it can dramatically shorten battery life.

The only Approved Method for calibration is on the HIGH side, by charging the battery to 100 percent, then leaving it connected to power for several more hours beyond that. Then powering off and staring up anew.

Apple stopped recommending battery "calibration" about 2009. Generic "battery maintenance" sites I've reviewed do not seem smart enough to bother to look up Apple history.

Between internet advice and worthless third-party add-ons, you are on a path to a very disappointing experience caused by self-inflicted wounds.

I have the very same Macbook Pro (2024 M4 Pro 14") as you. The battery runtime on mine is stunningly good. I have no post-processed horse feed installed. I have Office 365 but do not use OneDrive. Chrome is alos a know battery hog on both Windows and Mac laptops,
