I don’t understand the relevance. The question is about running it on Tahoe. WhatsApp requires at least macOS 12.1, and that runs on Macs that are several years older than Macs that support Tahoe. If the OP’s Mac can run Tahoe, it’s more than new enough to run WhatsApp.

Contact WhatsApp, compatibility is their responsibility. Having said that, it appears to run on Tahoe.

Have yo reached out to the Developer of WhatsApp and asked them? How old is your device?
