How oftern does wifivelocityd run in the background on Apple devices

Not sure if any of you could tell me how often "wifivelocityd" runs in the background on Apple devices. I pulled a list of Apple domains that it send encrypted data from my Mac to Apple.

re: wifivelocityd

Is there some associated issue here prompting the query? Maybe you can say more.

These background processes (daemons) that run on Apple macOS and managed by the system run in the background without user interaction, starting automatically when the computer boots and existing independently of any user session.

It would be a dubious attempt trying to answer your question definitively.

You can see a plethora of these processes including your wifivelocityd from the Terminal, copy & paste:

ls -a /usr/libexec/

Just a curiosity of mine, since an app gave me a popup with those on it and last month I had a window popup (multiple times) that the app threw up on a TraceRoute that I didn't initiate. I was just trying to to see if someone else was on my Mac that I can not find.

Very interesting. Have not seen this.

You do not say what app(?) ..."since an app gave me a popup "

\If you are running any third party...Little Snitch or similar(?)

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/VPN/Anti-Virus

all known to cause issues on the macOS

A SafeBoot Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled temporarily.

Login and test. Reboot  as normal and test.  Caches get rebuilt automatically.
