Macbook pro mid 2012 Backlight not working. Windows Bootcamp

My macbook Pro 10,1's keyboard backlight works normally and as intended on mac os. but on windows clicking the fn 5 or fn6 (Keyboard backlight control buttons) gives me this picture.

I have the latest version of bootcamp supported by my mac using bootcamp assistant and i also tried reinstalling windows and using bootcamp version 5.1.5621 and it still gave me this error or photo thingy. I have bootcamp.exe always on i dont turn it off and when i got this mac before formating it the backlight used to work im not sure how the previous owner did it tho. also everything is working the brightness, the volume etc. except the backlight.

The backlight is controlled by the Ambient Light Sensor (ALS) and SMC drivers:

  1. Go to Device Manager in Windows
  2. Look for these devices and update their drivers:
    • ACPI\APP0001 (Ambient Light Sensor)
    • System Management Controller
    • Apple Multitouch Device

Point the driver update to your Boot Camp Support Software folder

Under "Sensors" there is a "Light Sensor" and i when i point it to bootcamp Support Software folder i get "The best drivers for your device are already installed".

I looked for System Managment Controller but there is none. Can't find it nowhere even tried to install the bootcamp drivers through setup again still no luck.

As for the "Apple Multitouch Device" i found it in "Human Interface Devices" and it has the best drivers for this device.

im guessing "ACPI\APP0001" is the Light Sensor.
