Trade in but got part payment to card and part to Apple account

I have just traded in my phone and got the new Iphone 17 however, I paid for the majority of the phone with my card but part with Apple account. The trade is now says complete but I have received 50% of the money back on my card and 50% into Apple account. I was told that because the majority of the payment was from my card, then the trade in credit would go back there but its not. I did an online chat and they said it would go back on my card once the trade is is complete (which is is complete) but the balance isnt there.
