My mac used to automatically fill in passcode from messages until the new Mac Tahoe update. I checked the settings as suggested from mac community earlier posts and the right boxes are checked both on the iphone and mac. Still no success.

What browser are you using? It should work in Safari, but not in third-party browsers. (It did work with third-party browsers in beta versions of Tahoe, that feature like some others was removed in the final release.)
