Transferred Photos Corrupted After macOS Update

A few days ago, I transferred some important photos from my iPhone to my MacBook using AirDrop. However, after updating my MacBook’s software last night, I noticed that many of the previously transferred photos now appear to be corrupted or inaccessible.

These photos are very important to me, especially as they include pictures of my baby. I suspect the issue might be related to the recent OS update.

Is there any way to recover or repair these corrupted photo files? I would really appreciate any help or guidance.
