No low battery alerts for Magic Mouse after macOS 26.0.1 update

On previous versions of macOS, I used to receive batter notifications on my M-series MBP when my magic mouse was running low on charge. since updating to 26.0.1, there are no battery warnings.

Can you see the battery level of the Magic Mouse in the Bluetooth menu or System Settings > Bluetooth?

My Magic devices are all pretty well charged so I can't test notifications, but I do see the charge levels.

yes the battery level is visible in those places
