App approval password not working on iPhone

My child requested an app and I chose too approve. I typically just need my finger print, but it is asking for my password. After I enter my password, nothing happens. The app is not approved or declined. The password is correct, our devices are ip to date, and we powered off devices. Why does this happen and how do I fix it?
