encrypted volume password won't work
After upgrading to Tahoe, the password for my encrypted teaching volume on internal HD of MacStudioUltra is not accepted so can't unencrypt volume

I have seen one report of this, the workaround was that the person opened the image on a Mac running Sequoia and copied the contents to a newly-created encrypted disk image.
Personally, I have encrypted disk images stored on both internal and external drives and they worked fine before and after upgrading to Tahoe (both with and without the passwords being saved in my Keychain).
Hmmm. I have a ROOT password set for the whole system.
What in the world made you de-secure your Mac.
I wonder if I try to sign in under ROOT and the system pasword if that will show the Volume.
Did you encrypt the drive with the root password? Just use it. Otherwise, you won't accomplish anything.
Do you have a backup of that volume?
Hmmm. Thank you. The Volume has a name but it won't mount without an accepted password. Patrick
