Adding a person to family share to be able to use the Apple TV

I am trying to add one of our sons to our Family Share. His only Apple Device is an Apple TV. He has his own Apple ID. I have tried it twice to add him to the family share but I am not successful. He received the invite via email and when he clicked on it gave an error message that "there was a problem loading this page".

Apple TV 4K, tvOS 26

How is he opening the invitation?

On what device is he trying to do this? An Android device a Windows PC? Something else?


For an android device:

  1. Download the Apple Music app from Google Play to your Android device.
  2. On your Android device, open the email invitation to join Family Sharing.
  3. Tap the link in the email invitation.
  4. In the "Open with" screen, tap Apple Music.
  5. Tap Accept.
  6. Sign in with your Apple ID and password.



On a Windows PC, he would need the Apple TV App or iTunes.
