Mac Mail - Unable to Show Email in Original Folder from Search Results

I'm having trouble navigating from search results to the original folder location in Mac Mail.

The Problem:

When I search for emails in Mac Mail, the search results correctly show which folder each email is stored in (displayed next to the date). However, I cannot find a way to jump directly to that email within its original folder.

What I've Tried:

-Right-clicking on the email in search results - the context menu does not show a "Show in Enclosing Folder" option

-Checking the Message menu - no "Go to Mailbox" or similar option appears

-Double-clicking on the folder name shown in the search results - this only opens the email itself, not the folder view

Current Workaround:

The only solution I've found is to manually:

Close the search window

Navigate to the folder in the sidebar

Sort by date

Scroll to find the email

This is time-consuming, especially when dealing too many folders and subfolders, as well as emails from several years ago.

Question:

Is there a keyboard shortcut, menu option, or any other method to reveal an email in its original folder directly from search results?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
