Black screen and freezing on Amazon Prime with Apple TV box on Sony Smart TV

I have a brand new Sony smart TV and use an Apple TV box for streaming. All my apps work except Amazon prime. I watch a show for 2 hours and then all of a sudden my screen goes black and freezes. I’ve removed the app and reinstalled it twice. Is this my new TV, my Apple TV box, or an issue with Amazon? Please help!
