Is there a way to copy styles from one Pages document to another?

How can I copy a set of styles from one document to another?

Select the content that has the style you want to transfer and then choose Format > Copy Style in the source document and in the recipient document where you want that style applied, choose Format > Paste Style.

The long term approach would be to create a custom template with all of the styles you want to preserve and apply for future documents.
