Touch ID not working on MacBook M4 after macOS 26 Tahoe update

Yes there are reports of some users having issue like yours....

If removing all fingerprints and setting it back up does not resolve your issue, then you have been given the next step forward in your post above, or wait for the next point-update to see if there is some relief from your issue.
