Apple ID password invalidated automatically without email notification

Hi everyone,

My Apple ID password suddenly stopped working on October 2, 2025, even though I have used the same password for around five years.

When I checked appleid.apple.com, it shows “Password last updated on October 2, 2025,” but I never changed it myself, and I received no email notification saying my password was updated.

The strange part is that I can still log in via Face ID on my devices, but when I manually enter my password for in-app purchases, it says “incorrect password” or just freezes without any popup.

I contacted Apple Support, but they said Apple never changes customer passwords — which doesn’t explain why my password was marked as updated.

Could this be a case of silent credential refresh or automatic token invalidation triggered by Apple’s security system?

Has anyone else experienced the same?
