1 or multiple audio files have changed in length as a result 1 or more audio regions have changed in length or position

Hey there. I am having this particular issue where supposedly some of my audio files have changed in length and all that in one of my projects. This happened yesterday as i was heading out to a hang out to show some tone suggestions to this buddy of mine . Before i move the folder to a usb or anything like that, i was disconnecting the interface from the rest of my set up to pack with the mac. I got that message a little after i had disconnected everything and open the file by accident. and ever since then i've been looking for this mysterious files which lengthened in my project.

Information: Mac IOS-- Sonoma 14.4.1

Alright i need some help here are my questions:

  1. How pronounced is the length supposed to be? i have been searching for this file and while checking previous versions of the project the names on the files are all the same, only one i think is different and its one a track of its own,but that's it. i dont know what you may think of that.
  2. Does the change of length in this files changes the sound in any way? Since i can't find any serious length change i have been trying to figure sound differences in every file, some tracks do sound a bit different to me but i am not sure if i am just being overly analytical with them, after all they do have the names they are supposed to have like " Turbo metal #34", or ," time to shred #34.5".
  3. Is there any solution for the long run? This is annoying.

Sorry for the info dump, but i have never ran into this problem before and its driving me mad. help me out guys, gals too, what the helll.

  1. The expected file length has changed.
  2. If you are lucky, you don't hear anything. The worst case is, your audio files are corrupted - for ever.
  3. :
  • Don't work directly in the cloud,
  • don't work directly from devices that are formatted other than APFS or MacOS extended,
  • make sure you have sufficient free space on your hard drives/volumes/devices. At least 10 to15% free space.
  • backup frequently on different local devices
