I have an Ipsw file on my macbook air is it now outdated?

I have Ipsw file that takes up almost 8 gb of my macbook, it used to be my uncle's before he passed so I have no way for me to know what it was for it says “iPhone12,8_18.1_22B83_Restore.ipsw”. I tried google and reddit to find what it is for and if it is able to be used or even know what is in the file but I cant open it due to the application my mac shows me is not available in my country, what do I do?

An .ipsw file is an installer/updater/restore file for iOS. This one appears to be for an iPhone SE (2020), for iOS version 18.1 (October 2024). It would have been downloaded to the Macbook Air in order to update or upgrade iOS on the iPhone.

What folder is it located in? (pls. give full path)

It is probably safe to remove.
