iOS 26.0.1 – Audio Drop & Battery Drain Issues on MacBook Air M2

While watching videos on my MacBook Air M2 with my AirPods connected, the audio suddenly drops. Has anyone else experienced this kind of audio cut-off? Could this be a bug with iOS 26.0.1 or AirPods compatibility?

I would first check to see if the firmware on your Airpods needs upgrading for macOS 26.X. See:

About firmware updates for AirPods - Apple Support

Battery drain: Is it the AirPods' batteries or the Macbook Air's?

If the Macbook Air, it is possible to see a faster rate of discharge for a day of so after a major OS upgrade. So we can use our new OS version the update system continues to do some indexing and cleaning up after we update.
