Desktop Folders Shrink and Return with macOS Tahoe

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing shrinking folders with Tahoe after a restart? If I click somewhere on the screen they return to their normal size in their normal position. Is there a way to correct this? I am using a MacBook M3 Pro with Tahoe 26.0.1

Thank you.

Have not seen this. See if the problem is present when you boot in safe mode, which disables 3rd party extensions and performs some system cleanup.

Thank you neuroanatomist and Luis.

I tried to put the computer to sleep in Safe Boot and it was fine upon waking several times, however because it happens sporadically I am not sure if it has helped yet or not.

Luis, no, the opposite. It's not only the folders but also any photos, documents etc. Anything I may have on my desktop. I normally have them scaled at 96x96, but it shrinks down to approximately 44x44 where they all cluster towards the centre. If I click anywhere on my screen, they jump back into their original spot at the 96x96. My settings are already as you suggested.

Let's see after a day or so if Safe Boot helped....
