Mixer Questions on Logic Pro

The volume in the mixer shows two different audio ranges (db). I believe the first is to be set at 0. what is the second volume signifying? Does it have to do with automation? I've boxed the area in question and circled two examples, that will help identify what's going on here. Logic Pro version 11.2.2.

The white numbers are the fader settings, the green numbers are the audio signal levels.

Specifically, the green numbers will hold a peak audio value for a few seconds after the volume of the track hits a peak. And what Ben said.
