Pages reports application not responding

Pages app will not open or run anything reports application not responding

Reboot your Mac. Press and hold the shift key while launching Pages. If that continues to report Pages not responding, then I need to know the following:

What version of Pages and version of macOS are you currently using?

  • In the Finder's Applications sidebar, locate the Pages icon, click once, and press option+cmd+i to open an information panel. The version is there.
  • Click the  menu > About This Mac and on the resulting panel, report the operating system version.
