Disappearing Apple Music playlist on Windows and iPhone

Hey, so I opened the AM Windows app. It asked me to log in again. I did that, and went on to shuffle one of my playlists. For some reason, that playlist only had three songs in it, which is wierd.

I logged out, reinstalled AM, logged back in, same thing. I opened AM on my phone, and the whole playlist was there for a split second before it was erased and replaced with those three songs. I don't know why this happened, but I don't have a backup of this playlist, so please, help me restore or recover all the lost tracks...

[Update]

I was informed externally that this is a rare issue that can happen when clients sync.

I was partially able to recover the playlist, thx to me having it downloaded on my phone.

Guess that I'll have to keep a sync'd copy on another music streaming service...

[Possible Solution]

  • Keep a copy of your playlist on another streaming service
  • When asked to sign in again, don't. Reinstall the app & clear the cache before you sign in again
