Logic Pro X audio regions weirdly stretched without intetion

I really don't understand how it happened, I opened logic to work on a project and every track had its audio regions stretched to be shorter and pitched up. I did not change the tempo nor did I purposely stretch the regions. In the editor the stretch option is also off. I tried removing the original files and putting them back with no result, I tried opening an old save state, it worked but it's not ideal as I have multiple modifications done in the more recent save states (that also have the problem). I also tried to work with the project file manager on the right to no avail. I really don't understand how it happened (Second time since I got logic) and I don't know if anyone has had that problem before.

  1. What kind of audio file you are talking about? Uncompressed or compressed?
  2. Make sure Logic's Project Tempo Mode is set to Keep Tempo
  3. Create a new track,
  4. Click on an empty spot in the Main Window with no Region selected and ensure Quantize is set to Off in the Region Inspector
  5. then drag the audio file onto that track.
