Sleep app stops recording sleep after bathroom visit

Since updating my iPhone 15 and watch series 10 to iOS 26 on 15/10/2025. Health Sleep App stops recording sleep if I get up for bathroom break and go back to bed. It has done this at least 3 times since.

I first started using the sleep function on 25/10/2022 when it was first released when I had iPhone XS and watch series 4, in that time sleep never never never ever ever ever stopped recording after a bathroom visit if i needed to get up in the night’s sleep, but now three times at least since ios 26.

And every day for the past three days.

So something that worked persistently well now does not.

Something has changed.

Boo :(

Until Apple fixes that, I'm deleting the wrong Awake Intervals in the HealthApp -> Sleep -> Show All Data -> All Recorded Data -> Awake Intervals -> swipe the wrong interval to the left.

This will mark this phase as a nap, but it will ad the time to your overall Time Asleep.

Tonight another hour has been recorded wrong, now shown as a nap instead of the orange marked awake.

Those other times being awake range between 1-9 min.

It's a holiday where I am, so I had the chance to sleep a little longer than usual 🙂

I found, that "Time In Bed" will only be shown, if the app records a nap, just as in this screenshot, and will subtract it from the time you did not stand up. Same thing happens, if I delete the wrongly recorded Awake phases.

Even one minute being awake triggers the Time In Bed / Time Asleep indication on my watch.

My Sleep Focus is set up just as yours, this one showing the weekend plan 🙂
