Modify->Timecode no longer exists?

I got a bunch of Ronin 4D 8K footage but the timecode is incorrect by about 9 hours. I thought, "no problem, I'll just adjust with an offset." But I don't see a way to do that anymore. I haven't needed it in a long time, but I could swear it was under Modify->Timecode and would allow setting a timecode offset to a clip or group of clips. Is it really and truly gone or am I not seeing it?

Terry the only similar option I remember is Modify->Adjust Content Created Date & Time. The checkbox for "Change file creation dates as well" also doesn't work. I don't think FCPX has ever had an option to adjust timecode.

On our Ronin 4D 6k (and maybe 8k?), there is a known issue whereby files are not recorded with the correct file timestamp. That makes it difficult to sort them by creation date. The internal metadata for "Encoded Date" is correct, so it's possible to write a shell script using ExifTool to read those dates and batch update the file creation dates to match.

I have a basic version of a shell script, which I've been meaning to convert to a GUI app, but haven't had the time. I'll email you the script. If your problem is actually incorrect timecode, the third-party tool QtChange can batch update those.

Okay, I got a little more info from the producer. Apparently the Ronin 4D 8K (and maybe the 6K too?) has an input that can be used for *either* timecode or camera audio, but not both. On set, they chose to record camera audio.

Thank you for the screenshots joema. When I dropped a file into QTChange, the TC column said NA so not possible to increase or decrease by. There are a couple hundred clips over 4 days and I've manually created multicams of the first 2 days by hand and it's not horrible so I'll probably just continue this way.

Thank you very much for the shell script joema. I wrote a similar bash script using GetFileInfo and SetFile to adjust the creation dates on footage from a Sony AVCHD camera, but yours does much more error checking.

I tried using QTChange but it could not read the timecode and showed "NA." These are Ronin 4D, 8192x4320, ProRes RAW, 23.976 files. QT and FCP do display timecode.
