Hoping someone can help.

I have read and reread many posts here and online. The files are named correctly based on the documentation and they show up in Channels DVR with perfect match and metadata. They will play from within the Channels web interface but will not play from Channels app on my Apple TV 4k device. I tried installing Stream Links Manager for Channels and that looked fine as well but still the link files would not open HBO Max and play the episode.

Channels DVR Server on newer Windows 11 PC

Channels App on Apple TV 4k device

Using only Channels DVR I created a .strmlnk file for an HBO Max program “Task” season 1 episode 2 and placed it in the Imports/TV folder of Channels

"C:\channels-data\Imports\TV\Task\Season 1\1x02.strmlnk"

The content in the strmlnk file is: using https

(https://play.hbomax.com/video/watch/dc0deb58-f16c-4f1e-b93c-865d1aaf80bd/e8e37a5b-d2b0-4f86-8d19-ec50f84bf0f4)

The link works and plays the episode in the Channels DVR web interface but will not play on my Apple TV 4k box.

I have rebooted all devices-pc, router, Apple TV 4k. several times

I have tried different episode naming conventions and folder structures such as S01E02, 1x02, 01x02 and have verified that the file containing the link from HBO Max is saved as a .strmlnk file. The link will not open and play using the Channels app on my iPad either. **The link will open the HBO Max app from the Channels app and play on my Android/Google Pixel phone just fine.**

I've never tried the app in question

I do use the appletv vlc player to play media stored on my NAS and windows shared

but if it was me wanting support for channels dvr server (which I had not heard about before this)

then I would expect I would get better support on the support forums of that product, as most would be using that app there, while preciously few if non may use it here.

Thanks for replying. I have posted this issue on the Channels Community page and have an open ticket. The issue seems to be exclusive to Apple TV $k device as the .strmlnk files work fine in the web interface of Channels on the PC and in the Channels app on my Android phone but not in the Channels App on the Apple 4k TV or on iPad.
