edit chapter names in books

In the music app, it is easy to "get info" and change titles and other details. I'm trying to do the same in the books app. I purchased a book through audible.com and have been listening to it with the books app. When I tried to re-listen to a previous chapter, I found the chapters names are "chapter 1", "chapter 2", and so on. This is not helpful. The printed book has descriptive names and I would like to add them here but found no way to get or edit info using the app.

I located the aax file deep in my user library and tried to edit it with BBedit. It seemed like it should be easy. I found “name data Chapter 2” followed by “Chapter 2” and quickly changed the 2nd entry. But when I returned to the books app, it would no longer play.

How can I do this using the books app OR is there a better way to edit aax files then BBedit. Thank you.
