iCloud passwords support in Comet browser

I recently switched to the Apple Passwords App a few months ago, which is fantastic because it seamlessly integrates with many of my activities and allows me to share passwords with my family.

However, I’m quite frustrated that the new AI Browser I’m using, Comet Browser by Perplexity, isn’t supported by the iCloud Passwords Extension. Despite being a Chromium-based browser capable of installing the extension, it seems to be excluded from this support.

I’m curious to know the plan for this browser. When can we expect it to be supported?

Thanks!

Apple has no duty to modify macOS to support third party software. It’s up to the developer of that browser to use Apple’s API (Application Programming Interface) for access to iCloud passwords. Apple provides various APIs so developers can take advantage of macOS features.

Contact the developer of Comet and ask for it to be updated.
