Safari window position shifts to last opened tab on macOS Tahoe

Hi all,

On OSX Tahoe, I’m experiencing a strange Safari behavior: if I center Safari’s window (through the View menu) and then open additional tabs (not separate windows), the next time I open Safari, the window appears off-center, aligned with the last opened tab (usually more to the right).

I would expect this if I were opening tabs in separate windows, but not in the same window.

Is this normal? I didn’t remember it happened on Sequoia as well.
