Stickies Database (données de l'app "Aide-mémoire") file location on Sonoma 14.7.6

I have been following all the advices to continue to use my stickies database (données de l'app "Aide-mémoire") I had on my Catalina 10.15..6 Mac Os system, after moving to a new MBP 15" running Mac OS Sonoma, but I succeeded only tonight!

This database is located into the Library (user library)/Containers/Aide-Mémoire (it in French, sorry)/Data/Library/Stickies

Be sure the App. is not open.

Just, copy your independant files all at once into this directory (no need to erase the two already present stickers coming with the App.).

Launch the App. and miracle: they all are HERE but, all under the same reduced sticker (only one is appearing!).

Go to the "Window" menu and ask for a "presentation by date", for instance!

Enjoy,

Beginning with the upgrade to macOS Catalina, the vintage ~/Library/StickiesDatabase was converted and is no longer used. The old file was a digest of appended Stickies that the Stickies application presented as individual stickies. All one has to do to perform this conversion is to run the Stickies application once on Catalina (or later if not run on Catalina first).

The aforementioned conversion split each appended sticky from the StickiesDatabase file into their own separate Rich Text (RTF) file contained in a parent Rich Text Directory (RTFD). This left the StickiesDatabase in the users Library folder (as baggage). These Stickies RTFD have their own unique UUID naming convention intended for the Stickies application's consumption, not the end user.

These Stickies are located in:

/Users/username/Library/Containers/com.apple.Stickies/Data/Library/Stickies

Only the Stickies application should be writing anything into this Containers location and any advice to manually copy anything to this location is wrong.

@VikingOSX

Thanks a lot for your answer, that is really welcome!

Were these information available somewhere else, prior my post of Sept 28th?

Indeed, be sure, I've been looking for months for a way to ensure that, systematically when I launch the Aide-Mémoire application, it's my stickies that open rather than the 2 ones that are in the default application!

Unfortunately, the important information you just gave are no longer usable for my system (Sonoma 14.7.6), because the "com.apple.Stickies" folder does not exist (or, I don't see it!)!

Therefore, the "very simple thing to do" (as you said): to run the Stickies application once on Catalina (or later if not run on Catalina first), is not working at all: it's always opening the default stickies!

If you want that we all respect that "Only the Stickies application should be writing anything into this Containers location", you can't just say that an advice to manually copy anything into that folder is wrong, you must first give the complete procedure that you believe is correct, for it to work.

Please, be as complete as you can.

Or tell us why: what is so dangerous for the system about copying files to this folder. Because in my case, it just is working fine for everything, including the Stickies®!

Many thanks in advance.
