How to disable Safari mobile active input zoom?

Referencing the site-breaking and headache-inducing habit of Safari for iOS forcing increased zoom on text inputs, even on sites which explicitly disable zoom and resizing. The number of sites I encounter which become unusable after the zoom in because you cannot then zoom out drives me insane.

After 18 years of people complaining about this, there HAS to be some method or workaround available to disable this infuriating bug/“feature”! Has anyone found a way to bypass with an extension? or a WebKit flag?

Any other browser introduces a host of other incompatibilities and problems with iPhone, so I’ve stuck with Safari despite it being unusable on 30-40% of sites I visit.

iPhone 14 Pro, iOS 26
