After the iOS 26 update, my phone became really slow and sometimes freezes. I have an iPhone 16 Pro, by the way.

You need to let us know when you updated. You are supposed to experience heat, lag, and battery drain for a short period of time after the update. For most, it has been 3 - 5 days.

Updated ios26 for iphone on 15th Sep25 and subsequently updated ios26.0.1 but battery draining problem exists. Further the phone becomes hot when camera is operated more than 10 minutes. Further the battery maximum capacity has also reduced to 98% from 100% after the update. Age of the phone is 10 months with cycle count of 256. Please help on this.
The camera getting warm/hot is normal under some conditions including high frame rate, high bit rate and high screen brightness. Ambient temperature is also a big factor. I live in Florida and sometimes all I can film is about 10 minutes before it shuts down.
Lithium batteries don’t age in a linear fashion. They will dip suddenly after a long period of stability. This also is normal and my 16 PM recently dipped 4 or 5 points.
