ios26 Web form issues (all sites, including Apple Discussions)

  • Scroll locks when a field is selected
  • Text cursor and keyboard not always visible or triggered
  • Copy/paste and cursor movement in fields don’t work
  • Empty “glass bubble” appears over bottom address bar

Same behavior across all web forms, not only on Apple’s site.

I too have this issue. I find it hard to believe that there are only two of us with this issue. Well, technically three. My wife has the same issue on her iPhone too.

Filling out online forms are next to impossible since the upgrade to iOS 26.

Have you updated to iOS 26.1? I seem to recall a mention of it fixing something like this.

I'm still not seeing what you're seeing, and I am not completly certain I understand the problem, but I don't dispute the fact something is not working properly with your iPhone. I'd contact Apple about it using the Feedback - Safari - Apple link Allan Jones provided, or contacting Apple directly using the Support link below.

This is how your screenshot appears on my iPhone; the most obvious difference is the lack of the URL (discussions.apple.com) in your scerenshot.

Everything scrolls correctly, text fields, copy / paste, etc all working as they always have. The Glass effect can take some getting used to but that doesn't explain everything.

This particular site (Apple Support Communities) had some visibility rendering difficulties a few days ago on iOS devices, but that appears to have been fixed on the Apple Support Communities end. All similar sites worked fine.

So... contact Apple.

Yep. Still a bug after new rollout 26.1. Apple needs to fix these things before pushing out updates. It’s even happening as I try to add my reply here.

Unfortunately, issues that affect only a small number of people are less likely to get pushed to the top list. Make sure that you have let Apple know you're having this problem:

How do I inform Apple that this is happening to me?

You follow the instructions already posted to this Discussion, several times.

I hoped by posting here Apple would be aware.

They don't use this site for that purpose. I realize this may confuse people because it is after all named Apple Support Communities, which is not Apple Support. For that, you have to use the Official Apple Support link on these pages.

Apple did not help matters by renaming this site as they did. In the past, it was called Apple Discussions, as in a place to discuss subjects regarding Apple. Apple Support Communities didn't change very much, but its name did. Confusion ensued.

Maybe let Apple know about that too.

Many people won't actively do anything about it.

Right. They'd rather just complain, which accomplishes exactly nothing.

Contact Apple, since neither I nor some other people on this Discussion can duplicate what you are experiencing We may not even know what you are experiencing. Needless to say the original complaint was an inability to scroll in any web form, copy / paste not working... etc.

Specifically,

If that is your concern then something about your iPhone is clearly broken, in which case only Apple will be likely to help.

On that subject, IdrisSeabright suggested that if you experiencing problems other than that, it would be a good idea to start your own Discussion. In fact it's always a good idea to do that. By doing so you are likely to draw individual attention to your own particular concerns. As I alluded to earlier, tacking "me too" replies onto other replies accomplishes exactly nothing. Apple won't notice, other helpful participants of this site generally won't either, and your concern just becomes buried in an avalanche of others.

I have this issue and so does my husband. IOS 26. I cannot see online forms when trying to fill in a field the field disappears. REALLY ANNOYING. And because I can't see it, if I try to edit my entry its impossible and I have to start over. Its like filling out a form like a blind person. Please let us know how to fix this. Its something I have to deal with DAILY and often even several times in a day.

I had it with Iphone 13, Iphone 14 Pro and now Iphone 17 since the IOS 26 update. Was hoping the next update would fix this issue but nope.

Looking for help on my issue. Mademom19 yours is a different issue. Maybe start a new post for your issue.

Mademom19 is requesting help with exactly what the subject of this thread is about. From the original post: "Copy/paste and cursor movement in fields don’t work"

The original poster said nothing about not being able to see forms. Perhaps you should start your own thread?

Also, Mademom19 was replying to me, not you.
