Keynote compatibility between Mac mini Intel and Mac mini M1

I'd like to set up a TV at events I run and have it show a looping keynote presentation. I can get a Mac Mini Intel I5, running 12.7.4, pretty cheap on ebay so I'm thinking of attaching that to the back of the TV to run the Keynote. The Keynote will be made on my Mini M1 with the latest versions of Mac OS and Keynote. I'm not sure what the Intel mini will be capable of running, OS and Keynote version wise. Will there be any issues running the Keynote from the newer system on the older system?

Hi Jkolesa,

The latest version of Mac OS that can be run by Intel based Macs is Mac OS 14.8 Sonoma, I only know this since I have an Intel MacBook Air running Sonoma. Keynote files should be fine compatibility-wise however newer fonts and formatting may not display correctly going between versions, I would double check to make sure that you presentation displays correctly across both Macs, if you choose to purchase an older one!

Warm regards,
