HomePod mini won’t respond or show setup light after reset

Hi everyone,

I have a pair of HomePod minis, and recently one of them stopped responding. I ungrouped them and tried reinstalling both. The working one set up fine, but the other one still doesn’t respond. It doesn’t show the pulsing white light during setup, and it’s completely unresponsive even after I tried resetting it and plugging it into different outlets.

Has anyone else run into this issue, and is there any fix besides taking it in for service?

Thanks in advance for any help!

Hello,

Try to restore HomePod mini with a Mac or PC :

  1. Plug HomePod mini into your computer using the USB-C cable that came with it.
  2. Wait a few seconds. If you're using a Mac, open a Finder window. If you're using a PC, open the latest version of the Apple Devices app or iTunes.
  3. Select your HomePod when it appears on your computer.
  4. Click Restore HomePod.

A notification appears on your Mac or PC when HomePod mini is done restoring. After you restore HomePod mini, you can set up HomePod mini again.
