After the new update i have been experiencing issues with guided access where as per Apple guidelines 2 clicks of the power button should end guided access using touch or Face ID and triple clicks will end it using the passcode. So far after many restarts I can safely say that face ID recognition does not work and you will always have to resort to triple clicks. Is this issue only for me or does anyone else also face the same issue?

I have had to use the following sequence multiple times to get out of Guided Access.
Volume down button, Volume Up button, Power button (right side).
In the past I could just double press the power button and it would quickly exit. Now its triple press the power button to bring up UI and Face ID. Not good. I miss the double press. I'd settle for triple if it worked. Really hoping they fix this bug.

ceci4561 ~ Although Apple administers these user-to-user communities, that doesn't include reading each of thousands of daily posts for possible questions & feedback. However, you can tell Apple about the issue here:

26.1 still here…. No FaceId exit for guided access, but looks like the loop problem is fixed now
It’s not only you! Even after 26.0.1 its not fixed. In addition for me sometimes after triple click it starts to do some kind of lock/unlock loop….
Same thing here. Enabling and disabling Guided Access doesn’t make it work, nor does enabling/disabling Face ID in Guided Access help - turning device off and on doesn’t help. As well, disabling the setting for “side button lock” doesn’t help it work either.
Sometimes attempts to use Face ID leave you stuck on the lock screen for a minute (but then you can triple click and get out).
I’m having issues with the volume in guided access , I set my volume at the preferred range for my child and disable the buttons and when I start guided access and play a video or game the volume automatically changes to full volume :( I’ve tried everything to fix this . This has to be a bug also in guided access iOS 26
This is still an issue! Apple - Are you going to do something to fix or at the very least address this issue?!? Can’t imagine this is by design! And if so, I think we all agree… BAD DESIGN!
