Ive been using my macbook air m4 with alot of apps open and it never gets hot, however when I use pages it gets hot. I already turn off apple intelligence and siri for pages and it still gets hot, however when im in other app or have multiple app, it never gets this heating issue

When the Air gets warmer using Pages, what surface is the laptop on at that time? Also, do you use a protective case or other decoration on the Air? Are these large images or graphic-intensive Pages documents when this overheating occurs? What other applications are running when this temperature increase occurs with Pages?
I dont have any cover or cases, its in my laptop stand around 95 degrees position and the bottom part is open so there is nothing preventing the airflow. As per app, I close all apps when Im using pages and sometimes safari is open. No other images though just plain text
I cannot reproduce either reported overheating issue because:
If there were inherent issues with Pages v14.4 causing an overheating issue, there would be considerably more posts on this topic. And, the fans on my M4 Mac Mini Pro, or Intel 27-in iMac w/Core i7 would be activated. Not the case.
If either of you are running one or more anti-virus or so-called "cleaner" applications, that may create extra demand on your Mac that could be a cause for the overheating condition where Pages is thought to be the causal agent and is not.
I'm having the exact same issue with my Mac M4. No other apps open (besides Chrome), no laptop case or anything (laptop is being used on my desk with nothing else around it), and my Pages document just has plain text. So strange.
