Open Settings. Can you turn Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on? If neither can be turned on your phone has a hardware problem, the failure of the C band radio chip.

Thanks Lawerence. I tried all the suggestions prior to reading yours. I was nervous about removing my VPN as I travel all the time and already had my ss stolen from the att hack. But I finally did remove my VPN and did a restart and my WiFi and internet connections were restored!!! You suggest not reinstalling VPN but with all my travels is there one compatible with iOS 26? Thanks mj

Try the Most-Recent Update:

As of this reply, Apple has provided the iOS 26.0.1 update for iOS So, backup your iPhone, and then perform the update. Report back the results.

Do your Part: These are user-to-user forums. Apple rarely reads these forums on their own time as it is. So, provide Apple with feedback on this.  Apple wont get back to you directly, but the more they hear of this, the more they will know what is going on, and what needs to be fixed. Apple will know nothing if this, if you don't report it to them.

To Provide Feedback:

1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
3. Comment: that this all stated after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread.
4. Proceed form there as necessary

I finally removed my VPN as Lawerence suggested and it fixed the internet connection. VPN isn’t compatible with update.

Next two steps is to restore from your backup, doesn't work then restore to factory settings and test it out.

Update on my post. Removing VPN fixed issue on my iPhone 12mini

THEY can’t fix it without examining your iPhone, because it is a problem with your phone specifically, not hundreds of millions of other iPhones.

What troubleshooting have you done?

• Restart your router is first and foremost
• See if it is a problem with your iPhone or the network by going to a site with a different network (Starbuck’s, MacDonald’s, your library, a café, etc)
• Reset Network Settings

Rather than trash your iPhone, I recommend report this to Apple Support.

Apple needs to be made aware of this, and the more they are made aware of it, the more they’ll know what to fix.

Have you checked your wifi? If you suspect the problem is with your router, contact the router manufacturer for support.If none of the above steps work, there may be a hardware issue with your iPhone. Contact Apple Support or find a local iPhone repair store for further assistance. 

Since updating to 26.1 my iPhone 15 pro max keeps dropping both the 2.4

and 5 mghz WiFi connections. Tried disabling WiFi assist and all the other things and nothing works. Wife’s android has no issues with WiFi so it must be my phone.

I have the same exact issue happening. I am on iPhone 14 Pro Max and the wifi just doesnt connect at all. It is truly pitiful...

Same issue with me iPhone 16 pro max. After updating ios 26 i need to disconnect and reconnect

I can’t even turn on my wifi. Tried all the fixes and updated to 26.1 and still the same. Completely useless
