It seems like a bug, but we need a solution urgently as our school has 300 laptops, all on the latest OS (26).

I would hope the a following point update(s) to come would resolve these issue. Your feed back helps prioritize these bug fixes.

My Air on M1 with 16GB RAM is getting crazy hot during sharing the screen on conference calls. 

And no matter if it is right after a restart or not, macOS 26 is so laggy that I had to reduce motion and transparency, but it is still not as smooth as before.
