Storing Using my personal music CD collection on my MAC and iPad.

I need some coaching on the use of the Music App on my MACBOOK Pro M2 w Sequoia 15.6.1. I have thousands of dollars in music CDs in my music collection that I've built over 3+ decades. Long ago I saved this collection onto my original MACBOOK Air with some anomalies I've just lived with; eg. albums being broken up into 2 or more bundles under the artists name, no album art etc. I have just lived with this and used my collection on my MAC, iPad(s), iPods etc. Over time, a couple decades at least, this has become problematic where now, the Music app will not allow me to play a number of songs from my collection, all of which I purchased legitimately in the CD collection, because "...[a selection] is not available in my region...? I have been using PCs and MACs since they were introduced in business and otherwise and the reduction in my control over music I own, imposed by successive versions of Apple's Music/ iTunes, has become extremely frustrating. I have bought some music on line through Apple's iTunes but I need to do this rarely... my collection is what I enjoy! Am I forced to re-load all my music CDs on my current MACBOOK Pro and iPad[s] and use a different music app? Some insight that might allow me to work this problem is deeply appreciated.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.6

Are you a subscriber to the Apple Music subscription service?

If so, do you have Sync Library enabled? I believe that sets up a form of automatic synchronization, using Apple's music libraries, that potentially could be subject to regional restrictions such as you mention.

I have an Apple Music subscription, but keep Sync Library turned off, and do manual synchronization of purchased music. Apple Music won't let me make "offline listening" copies of subscription songs, so I need to be somewhere with an Internet connection to listen to those, but so far, I haven't run into any "selection is not available in region" issues with the purchased music on my Mac and on my iPhone.
