Hulu and Netflix have no sound on my Apple TV setup

So, I have an Apple TV hooked up to my TV and when I go to YouTube and watch videos/music the volume comes through my Yamaha receiver perfectly - as I believe it is switching to AirPlay for the volume… at least that is what comes on my receiver. But when I want to watch Hulu, DTV, Netflix, Prime, etc., I hear no sound. I have the internal speakers selected and all my cables and inputs/outputs are working properly. I believe that my audio settings are correct on both the TV and AppleTV. My old AppleTV was doing this and yesterday I went and bought a new one…. Same thing….
